ROOTED Journals is a South African Christian journal brand operated by an individual seller. Our products are sold exclusively through our online store at rootedjournal.co. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or purchase our products.

All journals and notebooks sold by ROOTED Journals are physical print products. Product images shown on our website are for illustrative purposes. While we take every care to represent our products accurately, slight variations in colour or finish may occur due to printing processes and screen differences.

All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely through PayFast, a South African payment gateway. ROOTED Journals does not store your card or banking details. Orders are only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed by PayFast.

By placing an order on our website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or guardian. All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. We reserve the right to cancel or decline any order at our discretion and will provide a full refund if we do so.

We ship nationwide across South Africa. Delivery options and fees are displayed at checkout. Standard delivery takes 5–7 business days and Express delivery takes 2–3 business days from the date of dispatch. ROOTED Journals is not responsible for delays caused by courier services outside our control. Free delivery is offered on orders exceeding R600.

All content on this website including logos, designs, journal artwork, and written content is the intellectual property of ROOTED Journals. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission from ROOTED Journals.

ROOTED Journals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the use of our products or website. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product in question.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

Our heart is for you to receive something beautiful. If something goes wrong on our end, we will always make it right.

We accept returns on products that are undamaged and unused, in their original condition. To initiate a return, please contact us at hello@rootedjournal.co within 7 days of receiving your order. Returns must be sent back within 14 days of the return being approved. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error or a damaged product.

If your journal or notebook arrives damaged due to delivery, we take full responsibility. Please photograph the damage and email us at hello@rootedjournal.co within 48 hours of receipt. We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund — whichever you prefer. No questions asked.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5–7 business days. Refunds will not be issued for products that have been used, written in, or damaged by the customer after delivery.

Orders may be cancelled for a full refund if cancelled before the order has been dispatched. To cancel, please email hello@rootedjournal.co as soon as possible with your order number. Once an order has been dispatched, it cannot be cancelled — but our standard return process will apply.

Personalised or custom journals are non-returnable unless they arrive damaged or defective. Sale items are also non-returnable unless damaged in delivery.
